i tried to download some drivers from the site on my dell inspiron 1010 and i saved on desktop and now ilike to delite them when i tried to right click and delite some massage was coming pl. help how to delite . i have very little knoweldge of computers
I think you are trying to delete the extracted file. Your computer wont allow this because that is the flie that has the driver in it and it is being accessd by windows. The files should have extracted to C:\Dell. They should not be visible on the desktop unless you told the computer to put it there. Explore your C drive. Do you have a folder called Dell? I imagine you do not. If not, create it and move the files into this location. You may have to reinstall drivers after moving them.
Or try a neat program called Unlocker. I'm too lazy to google it but it should be the first link that shows up. It lets you remove all locking handles on the program or running task so you can delete, no questions asked. Just be careful what you delete though. Windows won't let you delete some files to prevent system crashes.
