After doing a clean install from Vista to 7 my hardrive space didn't clear up and my files are still there. I have a 200 gb hdd but only have around 30 free after the clean install. What is up with that? I thought it was suppose to wipe it clean?

Actually no it doesnt, it moved everything from your vista into a "windows.old" folder. If you formatted the drive before you installed it, then yes it would wipe it. But if you just installed it over the vista, then all your files are in the C:/Windows.old folder. Delete the folder and/or its contents and you should be fine.

Some things in that folder might not delete, my suggestion would be to format the whole drive first, then reinstall windows 7.
