sony vaio drivers

    hi every body i have a nearly top spec sony vaio VGN-Z555DN

    it was on vista i dont like vista cause of nags and hardwear i use is not windows 7 supported

    so im running on xp sp3

    the problem im having is i cant find proper keyboard driver for it

    i can use the qwerty key board alright as in
    THE LAZY DOG JUMPS OVER THE SLEEPY DOG

    BUT i cant use my function keys (fn)

    cant mute my laptop
    volume up or down
    and the most important one ajusting the contrast

    can anyone help me to find the correct driver so i can use my laptop key board to its full function

    ps the keyboard driver im using is the standard ps2 driver

    If you like Xp better thats fine, but if you say you cant run windows 7 you havent tried very hard.

    Deadrum, maybe the hardware is not in the laptop but externally.

    true, its too bad the level of detail in the original post left us interpreting it in 2 different ways.
    i've installed 7 on about 50 different machines and the only time i had a hardware issue was a card reader for an old gateway laptop. usually attempting a windows update while the hardware is connected solves the problem.

    thanks guys but still no key board drivers on that support page iv looked there a few times

    yes Deadrum33 i have tried hard if your thinking of the windows xp mode on windows 7 not a good idea for my tools (hardware)

    the tools i use have smart cards in them and thats whats not supported on windows 7

    just to be clear i love windows 7 over all but i need xp on my laptop

    i donnt ever use the fn keys on my laptop, volume i use by the clock and brightness i change in the control panel. it is nice with the hotkeys etc, but just an annoyance for me.
    dont always rely on these func. keys etc. thats what i was always told.
