Hi there. I've been searcing the internet for days now looking for a way to install Wondows XP on my Sony Vaio FW170j. This model came with Vista and I've since upgraded to 7 but I still want to install XP.

Everytime I try to run a Windows XP disc (OEM and admittedly torrented SATA compatible ones)the screen says that there was no hard drive found to install XP on.

I would really love to have XP on this laptop and ANY help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Vaio doesn't let me do this. As far as I've heard, I need to "slipstream" a specific driver onto a Windows XP disc but I don't know which one to use. I found a vague tutorial. The link is below. He provides a page that contains all of the vaio drivers but I have no idea which it could be. Any ideas?
