Every time I start my computer, it started to boot up and then it stuck at black screen that said either to choose start window normally or window setup and it have a countdown too. If I didn't change it using arrow it would automatic load to setup and turned to blue screen. My concern is how to fix it. I can still using my computer but every time i started it, I had to go through that process. Any advice or help would be appreciate?
try doing a chkdsk c: /f or a scandisk with the boxes to fix errors checked. If you have corrupted system files a full scandisk will usually fix the problem.
I ran chkdsk and it came up with bunch of error. It say deleteing orphan file record segment at random number. Than I schedule it at reboot and it finish but i still had to move arrow to start window. Basically, it didn't don anything.
sometimes you have to run that crap a few times.. and sometimes it's just plain broken beyond repair. you can always use your xp disk and run fixboot.
it been 3 month now and i just want to fix it but when i use the xp disk, would it delete my document?
Try what scum suggested,place xp cd in drive follow on screen prompts,after which you should get an options screen,the middle one says something about "repair" so type the letter r & hit enter,next i think you'll need to select the C partition,it should be shown on screen with a number beside it,type 1 hit enter,you may need password if you have one if not just hit enter again,now all that's needed is for you to type fixboot & then hit enter,then type the letter y hit enter after which typing exit then hit enter will reboot machine,failing that You have options when using the xp disk they are "system restore","repair" or "full destructive reformat",however if you don't have a spare hdd or a cd or dvd that you can transfer any data you want to keep then using the repair function is what you need to do as this will keep all data intact however even tho your program list will still show folders of software you will still need to reinstall the lot including updates to xp & those programs the repair i mention in my second paragraph is not the one you see when you first get the xp disc booted,it is accessed by using the top or bottom option in your first screen selection where you used the DOS based repair function to do the fixmbr
do the following download this file download this file "CD-R fixntldriso.zip" http://tinyempire.com/notes/ntldrismissing.htm Burn the iso into a bootcd. Next use it to bootup your computer. If it does bootup your computer just copy the files in the bootcd over to your c: drive. You might also have to edit your boot.ini file. No need to reinstall windows. Your problem is either the boot files are damaged or you might have to do a fixmbr/fixboot. This is mostly a easy fix.
I think my boot files is damage and how do I do the fixmbr/fixboot things to fix it because the bootcd is too complicated for me.

Alright I finally able to fix this problem. It turn out the problem is the os choice. All I had to do is right-click My Computer> Properties> Advanced> Startup and recovery then go to setting and change the option and finally fix it. Thank for those who had help me.
