    Hi Peeps.
Got abit of a problem with one of my pc`s
It boots ok but after all the desk top has formed it takes around 8 mins before anything can be used. IE after the machine has appeared to of fully booted, you click on a say internet explorer or any other program, it takes ages to run it. After a while the pc will run everything normaly.
    My hardware is has follows:
Intel core 2 quad cpu 2.66
    4 gig of ram
Main board is a asus p5ql pro
    OS is windows 7 64bit

    The things ive tried:
    Check disk
    Disk defrag
    Memory check
    Up dated all drivers
used windows install disk to try and recover start up.
    Killed all start up programs
None of this has made any diffrence
Short of a new install i`m somewhat stuck on what to try next.
    Anyone any ideas?

^^ by using msconfig, or similar?.. There's also other stuff that loads, too. Systernals (formerly Winternals) AutoRuns can handle it...

    Code:

go to filehippo.com and download ccleaner.
i have it on my computer but you have to realise, computers are never as fast when you just start them up.
