I have a Dell machine that has Windows 7 Home Premium on it. When I go to boot the machine it tries to loads Windows, and immediately go into the startup repair mode and attempts to perform the start up repair. (However it fails every time) When I try to boot the machine in any other mode by pushing "F8" the OS begins to load the core system files it needs to run the basics, gets to CLFS.SYS then the screen goes blank (Good old crash) and goes straight back into startup repair. I've followed some good instructions on how to resolve the issue but nothing has worked so far. I have verified that the CLFS.SYS file is still intact and not corrupted in the %WinDir%\System32 folder, and the TxR data associated with it in the %WinDir%\System32\Config\..... has been cleared... but no luck.. Any suggestions anyone?
