Windows 7 installation problem.

    Hello!
    I have a problem with installing windows 7 on my pc.
    When i boot from dvd i get the "windows is loading files" and i get the win7 background but then nothing happens. Please help! Is it mayby becasue of an old mb driver? My disc is burnt on hi quality media and i burnt at a slow speed.

    try using another dvd drive. were is your original win 7 disk?

    The Dvd Drive is spanking new, Don't own one but i my licence key is legit.

    Verbatim DVD-R 4.7 gig's burnt at 4x speed.

    were did you get the windows from?

    I got it from MSDNAA im a student so Bill Gates wanted to give me free win7 ;D

    ok. what do you mean by "win7 background" as in during installing or after it is installed?

    calamocha do you have a USB drive bigger than 4GB? You could attempt to load Win7 from USB to eliminate DVD from the equation and to save time.
    If that doesnt work, i would save your key and re-download the file from Mr Gates because MSDNAA has sent out bad downloads recently. There are a few students this semester who have had successful downloads but the file is broken in some way or another. I had to re-download Visual Basic 10 for this reason.

    No during the install when i have booted from the disc i see the windows background but nothing moore. The installation program are supposed to apear but nothing happens.

    Yeah will try that out, Do you know what software you use to make yore usb bootable?
