Hi Guys, Ive got a quick question im hoping you can help me out with... I have figured out(through an internet guide) on how to change the Windows 7 login background, so that took care of my first problem with needing that changed. The issue at hand is, everytime I change my Windows 7 theme to something else, it reverses everything I did to statically set a new login wallpaper.... then I have to run through that whole procedure again. Does anyone know how to forcibly set a login wallpaper for Windows 7 AND make it stay even if an end user decides they want a new windows theme? Thanks!
Yes, but if you assign a wallpaper to the login screen and then change the theme for Windows 7, the settings your program makes are completely erased.
you need to do a registry tweak to make it permanent. http://www.quantumofgeek.com/2010/04/personalize-the-windows-7-logon-screen/ just create the registry in the update part, and it should work.
