Windows 7 Recovery Stuck on Gateway Laptop

    I have a Gateway laptop, NV55C49u that is stuck in the recovery. I am using recovery media purchased from Gateway for Windows 7. I get can get through all the recovery disks without a problem, but then the process gets stuck when it is loading drivers and software.
    The recovery process gets stuck at the exact same spot, when loading an item called LITE-ON camera.
    Is there are way I can by pass this item? Any other options to get my laptop working again that isn't going to set me back too much money?
