Just done a fresh install on a hard drive with windows vista that used to have XP on it.

Now when i boot up it gives the choice of Vista or an earlier version of windows.

Anyone know how i can remove this so it just boots into vista ?

    Cheers

It sounds like you still have XP installed on your system. it would be better to reformat the drive completely and then reinstall Vista removing all traces of XP.

However the best thing you could do imo if you do not want to reinstall is uncheck the timer.

    right click my computer
    properties
    advanced system settings (on left)
    advanced tab
    start up recovery options settings
    uncheck timer
