just like the subject says i hit check for updates and it takes for ever and it dont do anything i can leave it running all night and nothing im running windows vista
I'm not sure if this will help or not, but go to http://microsoft.com Now in the bottom right of the screen you will see a link to Microsoft Updates. Select that and it should do a scan of your computer to check if any updates are available. If you have Auto-Update feature turned on, then you should not have to worry about it too much. I only go to the site once every couple of months to see if there is possibly an update available that I did not receive. Hope that helps.
