Be very grateful if someone can help :)

    Here's my objective:
To connect my laptop and desktop computer together using my wireless router so i can share files and generally access the C:'s of each other.

    What I have:
A Laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium with built-in wireless
A desktop PC running Windows XP HE SP3 with a PCI wireless card
And of course a Belkin Router

Both of them connect to the internet just fine, its getting them linked which I'm having trouble with, I'v tried pinging them in "cmd"
put neither will respond to each other (Iv also made sure they both have the same computer name and have the same workgroup name but they dont want to know.

I'v googled to get some info but they all refer either xp to xp, or vista to vista.

Some instructions or useful links would be fantastic..Thanks in advance for anyone who helps

Did u manage to fix the issue
i would have the same work group but computer names have to be different and the ip address basically the last 2 numbers have to be different and then the default gateway has to be the same for both and if u have a dns the dns is the same as the default gateway.
    Let me know wat happens...
