zero hard drive

    need to zero hard drive so i can reload windows cant login forgot password so have to blow it out and start fresh

    boot from xp cd, do the f8 agreement, press esc to not repair windows, delete the partition, create the partition then either do full format or quick format. once that is done, xp will continue to install til it is finished.

    it will not give that choice any othe options

    linux bootable img, try gparted live, if you need to delete a partition.

    is there a cd i can download to zero the hard drive

    Say Hey!!
    If all you did was forget the password use "Ophcrack" That's a freeware utility to recover passwords. If you still want to zero the HDD use "Dban" to do so. A Google search will find both.
