My laptop is becoming really slow. Whe I turn off or restart it crashes at the first screen and I keep having to shut off and restart several times before it starts up. I have AVG Windowns Defender and have been recommended a few other Anti Virus things but nothing seems to work. I have been told I can reformat but I do not have the software on CD to fo this. moved to correct forum. your hard drive might have a 2nd partition which is your recovery partition to reload windows back to factory defaults. what is the make & model# of your laptop?
