My ip address is being used by another computer from another city same state.Found out after trying to change security status of my Face book. It says ....active session and stated different city from mine with the same ip address(same number). How serious is this . Is my computer being taken over by another one? Financial statements are in my computer.. Thanks

Your public IP address is assigned by your provider - you should be contacting them.

You can port address translate about 65000 sessions from one ip address. If you are sharing a ip address that might be what is up. It could just be very normal. I could also not be :).

Your problem is serious. More than likely it was a mistake not malicious. Attar is correct complain to your ISP. The problem is you will need to wade though massive incompetence before you can get to someone more knowledgeable than your average AD member.

I would contact your ISP and see if they can find out the problem. It sounds like one of your account may have been hacked.A lot of people get their facebook accounts hacked also.

You can hack a modem serial number if the hacker used the same ISP maybe it will think the modem is connected to the registered IP.
