When I play a video in VLC, a random MPEG 3 file appears called benfolds in the same folder as the video file. The longer the video plays the bigger the file size becomes, but there is no additional processes running. Any advice would be appreciated
Sorry, its not just one video, I meant all video files, and there is nothing wrong with the video file as there are some home wedding dvds being played as well. Whichever video file I play the file appears. I hve also uninstalled VLC, cleared out the registry, done spybot, malware and virus scan with no results and reinstalled VLC and it is still there.
Yes, there is no problem deleting the file when it appears, just the annoyance of having it happen each time I play a movie, and the file grows masively. 5 secs and file is 1.5mb and grows about the same each 5 secs. There is obviously some reason for it, malware etc....just cant seem to find it.
I have already tried it with other software and it is VLC specific. I know the obvious solution is to just get rid of VLC but its a great piece of software and it wasnt happening originally, so its something that I have introduced somehow.
