need help?!
my computer was overtaken by spyware in january and again this past week
the first time i had to have my computer wiped clean and reloaded, worked well till now and this time i just had to have data recovery?

this is what happened both times:
suddenly this ad for an antivirus came up on my screen, over took my desktop and locked down my computer , i could not do anything but turn it off
was told that it was spyware that was probably picked from some community site
the first time i may have not been completely up to date in protection but the second time confuses me because the PC guy installed supposed adequate protection and i ran them weekly , he installed spybot, spyblaster, windows defender, and adaware

so my question is are these adequate , enough to keep me safe ? the most common sites visited is facebook, occasional myspace(kids), ebay , and youtube
i personally think it is youtube? can someone shed some light?! If there is a program that i even need to buy , i will.

First Step: is to give us a way to look at your machine to see the problems……..

Download HJTInstall.exe to your Desktop.

Doubleclick HJTInstall.exe to install it.

By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.

Click on Install.

It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.

Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.

Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.

The log will be saved as HijackThis.log in the C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis folder.

Don't have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Please copy and paste this Log in your next reply….. Thanks.
