Hi, can I put my factory installed OS on another PC. I bought Windows 7, and wondered if I could put the Vista factory installed OS on another machine that currently has XP, however I don't have the CDs' just a sticker on the side of the case with the Serial Number.

an oem os is tied to the motherboard.you may be able to persuade microsoft when registering that your motherboard has died and needs replacing.but only if they are feeling sympathetic (and your a good liar!)other wise it stays with its original board im afraid.
