Cannot enable Internet Sharing

    Hello I cannot enable internet sharing. It just doesnt give me the option when I go to proparties and then advance on the network card. Does anybody know a solution to this ?

    Not sure if this is the problem but is the "Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)" service running?

    To check (for XP, don't know about vista or 7), go to control panel -> administrative tools -> services. It should be near the bottom.

    Also, check your drivers and make sure they are up to date. Could you provide a make/model of the PC or network card you're using? Also, what OS are you using?

    Thanks and Yes i checked it and it is started. Any other suggestions ?

    I did some googling and the most common problem is that the wrong drivers are installed or you have ICS enabled on another NIC (network interface card).

    I would go to your manufacture's website and download the latest drivers for your card.

    Or if your drivers are up to date you also need two network adapters for the option to show up. Any combination of dial up modems, ethernet cards, or wifi cards. As long as there is more than one.
