i am trying to connect my Ethernet cable to my PC cause my wireless is going slow but when i did connect it would not give me internet access, so i went into device manager it the only yellow mark i could see was pci serial port so i assumed that is what was causing the problem ( I HOPE ) so that is what i am looking for.
if it is not it is not the cable as i have tested it

don't think that will work as for netcard not modem which is the pci serial port device. are you getting an error trying to get on the net A& if so then what does the error say? are you showing active monitors in the taskbar showing connected to router? if have wireless router, bypass it & direct connect to modem to see what happens.
