favc encountered a problem

A couple of days ago FAVC started displaying this message and closes down. Nothing has changed since I used it last. I have deleted and installed it three times but with no success.
What can the problem be?

On a suggestion found elsewhere I downloaded the new version of Avisynth but it didn't help. Could it be the .Net V2 environment that's causing the error?
