Java 6 Update 18 Uninstalling not working

I have been trying to uninstall Java 6 Update 18 from my Windows 7 Operating System, but the uninstall always hangs.
I have Windows 7, Home Version on Sony Vaio PCG-61611L
Here is a screenshot of the error message attached.

I can't uninstall or even update, because the update forces uninstall for older version first.
Any hints and tips?
