Microsoft Security Essential uninstall problem

hi,
I am face problem in uninstalling Security Essential Antivirus program form my system.
I have tried many ways but when i try to uninstall it it gives message that it is partially installed and cannot be uninstall. when i try to install it either does not install.
now I have two antivirus program in my system one is Avast which is running and 2nd is Security Essential which is partially installed.
I want to uninstall it please help me.
I have tried each and every step which is suggested by my friends but all in vain.:(

googled it and saw a manual uninstall method on the microsoft help and support site.tried to post it but my post seems to have disappeared.

have you tried a system restore?
Then i though to remove it but it is not getting uninstall and gives error message on start up.
Now i have Avast and Partially installed Security Essential.

have you tried going to the site i posted in my earlier post?looks like you have to manually remove this.
