re booting problems

When i re boot after updates there are always some shortcuts that don't work. cc cleaner format factory and YTD are 3 that always I have to uninstall and reinstall. Anyone any ideas??

What do you mean, the actual shortcuts just fail or the program is uninstalled so there is no target for the shortcut?

Over the years, I have heard too many horror stories where huge problems have happened because folks rebooting, instead of shutting down and starting again.
