Hello
I just wanted to edit a video and downloaded VirtualDub today.
I selected which part I want to crop ,started it, and saw that
I suddenly lost 20GB hard disk space. In panic I interupted it
and deleted the program and video, and now I have no idea how
to get my 20 GB back. I am not really a computer expert,I tried
disk clean up,defragmentation, and restore but nothing.
Is there a way to get the lost disk space back without formating?
Thank you

Check the size of the video file that was saved from VirtualDub.
You perhaps saved the output without selecting a compressor under ('Video' > 'Compression').
The output file in that case is saved as uncompressed video (which is a huge file).
You can load the edited file in VirtualDub and just save it (this time selecting a codec under 'Compression') then delete the uncompressed file.
