I have just bought i dell optiplex gx620, it has an integrated soundmax soundcard. I installed vista enterprise and i cannot find a solution to get my sound working. The device manager says its up and working i am getting no error messages or anything, even the sound bar in the toolbar jumps to the beat but i just have no sound. I have tried installing loads of different drivers, iv tried xp drivers in compatiblity mode, everything, im just hoping there is someone out there that has had this problem and has a solution.

Please any help or advice would be greatly appriciated.

    Thanks for reading
    Jon

I read that, tried some of the suggestions and still no sound, tried that driver still no sound. So i just went out and bought a dirt cheap soundcard for £7 probs about $12 installed the drivers and still no sound so then i disabled the on board sound card and hey presto i have sound and it never sounded better.

Thank you so much for your time,

    Kind regards
    Jon
