WinRar problem. Can others read my WinRar.?

I sent some photos as attachments on an email to some friends. I then checked what I sent,in my Sent Box. On looking at the copies of the sent emails I was given a choice to open eash photo attachment ot 'download all".
When I ticked 'download all" a panel came up with the logo of WinRar(, 3 books bound with twine !). I ticked to open and a panel came up.
The panel had a small folder icon , and the list of photos folowed after the icon. I clicked the icon and lots of stuff came up, apparently stuff recorded on web sites I had visited. Embarrasing if the recipients of the emails could also access that 'folder' icon.
Any advice ? Please .Can they read that icon folder , and what can I do for the future ? Thanks a lot in advance. I am not too intelligent about computer stuff.
