I've been playing some games on my custom PC. I'm feeling kinda lazy so I don't feel like posting all the specs. If necessary I will. My gpu's have not surpassed 61 celcius and all other temps are at least 10 degrees cooler. i'm thinking i have my graphics properties set too high. my question is, is there any software out there for monitoring system hardware's performance so I can see specifically what's causing the crash? never mind found the specs from my build thread:

hit crl+alt+delete and go task manager then performance(will show your cpu usage and memory usage).usually the graphics card overheating will cause a computer to crash if running high performance games.a dodgy version of the game can cause pc to crash.

Some older games with XP / Vista compatibility, such as GTA 4, may glitch and/or crash at times while running on Windows 7. Try changing the Windows compatibility mode settings if you are experiencing issues.
