help on playing old games on vista

    i need help i'm trying to find a game called the incredible machine (or Tim for short) i can only find it on ms dos and this wont play on my machine which is vista, i have been told to use the compatability wizard but cant find it, i am a complete novice and therefore stupid, would like to get the game on disc (would even buy a copy) i'm desperate, could any replies be in easy to understand please not much jargon thanks.

    If this game in MS DOS mode, you never can play it on Vista. try to find more later version of this game ( for example: Return of the Incredible Machine: Contraptions)

    is that the same game then or are the machines different from the original do you know

    You can play all those old games on VIsta or xp or any OS if you'd like. :) what you need is an EMULATOR. you need DOS-box.72, it's a free download. then you need to DL the put the game into a file called something like.... c:\old <<<
    Here is a place where you can DL the game, well it's a free DL at bestoldgames.net, and dos-box is free from majorgeeks.com, if you can't figure out the mounting thing just let me know.
