I am having an awful performance problem with Oblivion. I am getting less than 30 FPS on Med/High settings which is almost unbearable. I found a vid on youtube that shows a guy playing oblivion on ULTRA settings at over 60FPS using the same card as me !
Also when I boot Oblivion it says Detecting Hardware etc.. and says set for low. I dont know why this happens, I am using no mods and this has happend since installation. I will link specs in next post.

Specs :

OS - Windows XP Professional (SP3)
CPU - AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ (Rated at 5.2Ghz)
GPU - NVIDIA 9600 GSO (768MB)
Sound Card - CREATIVE SB Live 24-Bit Soundblaster
Moniter - Hanion 1080P ready P&P moniter

What resolution do you play on? (Im assuming 1080P? \\1920x1080\\?)

If you were referring to this video, the guy is playing on 1024x786 resolution.

Try lowering your resolution to get more FPS.
