Two months ago I unsubscibed from the thousands threads I had open so that anything inactive for more than five days gets dumped. Reason is the numbers of emails I get from spammers mining ancient threads. This AM I had six messages - five were spam from AnyDVD Pro shills- and these were from threads that hadn't hit my five day wall yet. Fortunately (?) new posts on the subjects that interest me have practically disappeared from the site (along with most of the regular responders) so I expect the problem to rectify itself in time.
