ZIP file on a ps2 disk?

I have the game Smugglers Run 2 in a folder on my hard drive,
in the there is a file named SR2.ZIP and when I try to extract it with uniextractor the window flashes and says extracting from tar archive.. now I know what tar is but nomatter how I try to extract it, it always says corrupt or cannot find archive. even with winrar.

does anybody know about ps2 .zip archives and how to extract?
