I replaced the game slot upon two ds lites. One console does not power on at all and the secodn one does not read a game cartridge. Both fuses are good in the two consoles and the solder job looks good in both.

Anyone had any experience of problems with replacing the game slot in a ds lite ?

    Thanks !

is there a short on any of the pins on the front of the slot where you soldered, were all the contacts there gold pieces you attach the pins to 1 missing or damaged you have a problem, were the game slot 1 readers known working before, a console will not always power on if top or bottom screen not connected properly slightest bit out can stop it also the touch screen (wifi and mic i have never tried to turn on without them) i reconnected a top screen once with the bottom piece of shell on with the battery compartment on and a battery in blew the power led. Never have battery in till finally done can do loads of damage (im not saying you did this just a word from the wise OR NOT SO WISE as the case may be), can you get hold of a multimeter to prove continuity in the fuses and any other area you have worked on blown fuses can look no different to non-blown fuses they are so small.
