DSI Pokemon edition m3ds real help

Morning.....
I am trying to get a m3dsreal or a DSTWO working on my dsi pokemon edition. Nothing seems to be working. With the m3 I get an error message right away. With the DSTWO I get it after I click on the 2 fish.
"An error has occured. Press and hold the power button to turn the system off. Please see the Nintendo DSI manual for help troubleshooting.
