hey, i just bought a DSI-XL and i have some questions about flash/game cards. first of all, my ds runs at version 1.4e ,i would like to know which cards are compatable with this version and which brand you guys would suggest that i buy. also if a cards details say its compatable with 1.4.1 firmware, does that mean a firmware update is not needed when i receive the card, or do all cards need a firmware update. this is the card i was looking at buying: http://www.r4i-gold.co.uk/r4i-sdhc-...with-the-141-firmware_p109.html?cPath=883_895 thanks in advance for the help.
stay away from that crappy card.... buy Acekard2i (which works with all games, old and new) and they have people working on updates constantly. As for the updates....check the website of the Acekard21 (if you decide to buy it) from time to time and they have updates or fixes for the some new games that have new protection blocks on.
Every flashcart that works with dsi will works with dsi xl as dsi xl is just "bigger" dsi,no other difference . And yes, if it works with 1.41 , then it would be a plug and play solution . there have many cards can work on v1.4.1,like r4igold,r4i-sdhc,dstwo,of course these cards can work on DSI-XL
