Game Save Help (R4)

Hi everyone, I recently got a R4, and I wanted to download a Pokemon Platinum save for it. Could someone give me some advice? I dragged it into the same folder where the .nds file is, with the same name, but every time I try to play the game, it makes me start over from the beginning. Am I putting the .sav file in the wrong place?

I believe the .sav must be in the root directory of the card.

 

Thanks for the reply. I just tried that, but I got the same problem. I went through the intro of the game again and saved, and when I checked my computer, there was a pokemon platinum .sav file in the same folder as the game, so I think it does go in that folder.
