so i recieved my acekard this morning and i seem to be having some promblems with it. i ordered this thing with an 8gb micro sd card, but the acekard came on its own, when i tried using my own sd card from my phone... i got this message :system file is missing. heres the link to the card i ordered: http://www.r4i-gold.co.uk/acekard-2...e-with-the-141-firmware_p8.html?cPath=883_884 i was just wondering, the website states it comes with 1.4.1 firmware upgrade, i would like to know if the firmware files are saved to the acekard or the micro sd. obviously if its the sd card, id either need to wait for that to arrive, or update my own card with the files wich im not sure is possible since i dont have a firmware writer. please help!
please help....im no good at this stuff and at the moment, i just feel like ive wasted money on nothing
The 1.4.1 update (to bypass the DSi firmware) is stored IN the card The firmware to require the card to run is stored on the SD card. You need to download this unzip it and put it on the SD.
It seems you are new to flashcart. 1. Format the MicroSD with the Panasonic formatter (http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=4003). 2. Download the latest version of AKAIO (http://www.akaio.net/forum/download/file.php?id=145) after downloading, extract and put the _aio folder and akmenu4.nds in the root of your MicroSD card (Create a fold called game or whatever you like, put roms in it). 3. Download the latest loader (http://akaio.net/loaders/). Extract and put the file ak2loader.nds in _aio/loaders 4. Insert the MicroSD card in you Acekard. 5. Insert the Acekard in your DS. 6. Done. Enjoy.
GBX_Lee .. thought id add to the above rather than start a new topic. Ive done everything youve mentioned above and got no joy with my card at all. When the DSi is switched on, its goes to the main menu and i select the AK2i option from there, then im receiving an error message and have to switch off the DSi. Any other suggestions bud? .. Many thanks for any help you can offer John
flicking through the site, i caught a few other of your posts, tried updating the firmware using my sons old DS and it seems to be working .. cheers for your insights.. :-D
