dont expect much of me im a total newbie
i didnt understand how or what fram should i put on the card
i bought a dsi xl and the buyer gave me with it a R4i gold that says on it v1.5

now when i start SOME games it give me thi error

so i read on the internet that to solve this problem you have to update

but i dont know what ver i am on to update it

i went to this site

and downloaded the 1.42ver
but it still give me the same ver# which is 3.4

what am i doing wrong
or what is the right patch for the update and where can i get it from

and please explain whats the difference between the wood r4 kernel than the regular r4 update

Upgrade R4i Gold 3DS with NDS console
1. Install the Latest Wood R4 kernel to the TF card correctly. (watch R4i Gold Kernel installation with 4 steps
2. Download the 3DS20_Patch_R4iGold_3DS_NDSL.nds patch from r4ids.cn to your computer.
3. Unzip the patch, and copy the file to the root directory of TF card.
4. Put the TF card to the R4i Gold 3DS card, and insert the R4i Gold 3DS to DS console.
5. Power on your NDS to enter the mainmenu.
6. Choose the "3DS20_Patch_R4iGold_3DS_NDSL.nds" and boot up.
7. Take your R4i Gold card out of the NDS console.
8. Reinsert your R4i Gold into the NDS.
9. Press KEY_A and the updating process will begin
10. You should keep your NDS powered on during the updating process
11. IF the result shows SUCCESS, it means you have updated your R4i Gold with success and this card can work on 3DS 2.0.0-2 and DSi V1.4.2.

First of all, please tell us what R4 flashcard do you have, is it a R4i gold from r4ids.cn? The images you left are all broken and you need to update your flashcard with a DS or DSi. but you need to find out which card you have, and then download the correct firmware.
