Is this the Kingston card I need?

Just want to make sure before I order it, is this the type of flash memory I would plug into the M3i Zero?

Good thing you asked first because the answer is no. You need a microSD, that one is standard SD.

The specs are good otherwise though. 8 gigs is plenty of space and class 6 is a good speed. You want something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211341

Class 2 SD's will cause problems with some games. Also, anything from DX will take 2-3 weeks for delivery. Minimum.

I see, thanks. I ended up buying http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-8GB-micr...s/dp/B001NS9J82 hopefully it's the right one. I'm not sure if there's a huge difference between SD and SDHC. Hopefully not, but I was tired of waiting.

Is there a difference that will make my flashcard unusable?

That one should work just fine. SD is 2gb and lower, any thing higher is sdhc. The "hc" stands for high capacity.

avoid kingston in all flash carts, scandisk are good and if you live in the uk Micro SDHC play.com brand from play.com are great and cheap

Kingston works great. I currently have dozens of Kingston products and have never had a problem with them. I also have had dozens of Sandisk (@Mickoz74, please note the brand is SANDISK, not SCANDISK! You repeatedly misspell, in various posts I might add, the very brand you're trying to push! Doesn't make you sound like much of a trusted source on the topic! lol) products and I have run into problems with them. I say this not to argue the point, but add my experience. The point is that everyone will have different experiences with different brands depending on how they're using them and what they're using them in. Find what works best for you. Kingston and Sandisk are both top names in memory.

i've tried most of branded micro sd cards and i have a problem with the 2G kingston batch(made in taiwan class 4 sdhc) which is so slow but i have no problem with the kingston 8G(made in japan). Transcend, a-data, supertalent are among my brands on my ds flashcart. sandisk is also a choice but it is more expensive.

I would like to agree with Mikoz74

I have had issues with Kingston and never had any issues with Sandisk.

Issues

I also have a PSP and use the Photofast twin micro SD cards, I have always used Sandisk with no issues but this time my supplier sent me Kingston - they don't work. Dont ask me why, but they work in the M3 card but will not in the Photofast, I have tried moving things around and the Sandisk work in either the Kingstom only in the M3.

For their class the Sandisk are faster (reading speeds - writting is pretty irrelevant in an M3 card) than Kingston, if you format the Kingston in windows it is markedly slower, format it with SD Formatter and it is not so noticeable.
