m3i zero stopped working (white screen)

Hi, I got an m3i zero for my niece and initialized it a few months ago. Don't know what she did but now when I try to load the software it just gets a white screen (she says it stopped working when she tried it in another DS).
Not sure what to do here, the microsd card seems to still work. Any advice?
