NDS Lite Error Message

    Hi Guys,

    Just found your excellent forum hoping to get some help regarding my son's NDS Lite - Last week he turned on his DS and an error message came up saying "System date error - Please check NDS system date" printed across the loading screen with WWW.R4I-SDHC.COM in blue on top of the screen.

    Can anyone shed any lite on this and possibly how to fix it.

    turn ds on with no cartridge in go to settings and set date and time, you might find the date of the last gamesaves are in advance of the ds date (i.e game save says 21:00 30/05/10 and your clock says 18:00 17/01/06) see if that helps

    Hi Mike,

    I tried your fix and even deleted all the saves in the games folder and I formatted the sd card with no luck - I removed the battery and reinserted it and it worked but the info on the screen is in Chinese - I removed the card and changed the setting to english making sure the date and time are correct, reformatted the card and removed all the saves and when I restarted the unit it when back to the same error, so I went through it all again remove battery ect, and now it works fine with of course the Chinese writing.

    Any feedback on the reason why would be much appreciated.

    Hi I had the same problem and just did a software update...it worked fine....

    it was r4ico.uk and clicked on the software button on the left and downloaded it from there..then drag over the downloaded software and it will ask to delete and replace or something like that just click yes and fingers crossed........you can also get updated software from the website printed on the box from your r4 card as some have different software
