Hey Afterdawn my R4 has been a little wonky since 2007 and I haven't been much into the DS scene for some time now, basically I have the problem of it not loading the microSD card, and what I normally had been doing was cleaning the contacts on the microSIM. anyway now the spring loader is broken and it is just inconvenient now I have a DS lite so given that it is 4-5 years after I got the R4 and the DS has gone through several iterations, is online aware, etc, what is hot with flashcards these days and what should I watch out for how do they fair with the new DSi 's , like is Nintendo pushing out firmware updates or something like Sony or maybe online checks like Microsoft does with Xbox Live? lemme know

I bought an Acekard 2i a week or so ago and it's worked perfectly on my DS lite. I don't know what that EX4 is, looks like a fake to me. Anyway, look into the Acekard, seemed to be the most compatible to me. I'm happy with mine.
Never heard of an EX4 either. Probably yet another R4 knockoff. Acekard 2i is good. M3i Zero is also good.
Well from the two responses I think we can say - Avoid the EX4, b uy a reputable card with a good reputation, Penguin98 gave 2 excellent choices
