Nes on Nds not working

Hey just wondering if someone could help me out here... I downloaded the nes emulator and download nes game from theoldcomputer.com .. put everything into the same file .. when i go on my nds .. the folder has a image of mario of it (theres mario nes games in it as well)and i click on it and it the screen just goes black .. also i did the same thing with my snes and it works perfectly fine .. so kind of confused ... thank you!!

 

snes has a specified .ini file that you can edit, just use moonshell 2 it auto loades nes roms

I use nesDS, and it doesn't require you to combine the rom into the NES file. Once you start the NDS file it will give you a file browser to find your NES roms.
