Hello there, I recently purchased a R4i card for my sons DS XL and my daughters DS as recommended to me as the same card will work for all NDS's. I bought it from www.r4ultra.com. I installed the firmware on to the 8gb SD-HC card and about 100 games and everything is perfect for them for Xmas. Last week I put some more games on the card and they dont work! It just gives a blank white screen. I checked the files that I put on and noticed that these say DSi enhanced. Is this the reason it wont work? I have kernel v1.55 and 1.56 and still they wont work but yet all the other games do work even though they dont say DSi enhanced. Also as was previously said by another user - there are so many different types and tweaks of cards and so on it gets very confusing to someone who just enters into the whole cards thing even to the point of what card do I really have and what firmware / kernel software I can use. Please help me for the kids.. I dont think I have done too bad so far but in order to keep going ? Just one other point - My nephews card which is an R4i-SDHC (v1.4 - in yellow) plays these DSi enhanced games ok. Can somebody explain to me the road to go and how to stay on that road... Do the old games still work ? Or just the new games don't work ? If just the new game doesn't work , it means you need to update the firmware from the official site : r4ultra.com (If you get the latest one installed on the MicroSD,then you need to wait until the r4ultra team update it) You'll get a White/Black screen if the firmware isn't compatible with the rom . Of course , if you don't like to wait , then pick a well supported cart like Acekard 2i / R4i Gold from r4ids.cn . Acekard2i The Acekard2i is an excellent cart with the use of the third party AKAIO firmware. - Great compatibility and supports patched games well - Inexpensive - Supports large MicroSD cards - Great cart for the cost Check Lightake.com or Acekard.ca if you don't know where to go .
Many thanks for the reply. Yes the only games that do NOT work are the ones that are DSi Enhanced. Based on what you have said I presume that I cannot use Wood R4 firmware as an option. (Just confused with everything at the moment!) BTW - My apologies on the misinformation I stated earlier because I should have said that I purchased 3 x R4i Ultra Carts with 3 x 8Gb SDHC Cards. Even though it says R4i its the last line that says www.r4ultra.com so I am presuming that its and R4i Ultra card and not an R4i - its that bit is the confusing bit. Again many thanks for the reply.
