I got my kid brother a DSi for christmas. It had the 1.4.2 FW on it. I ordered an R4 card.. Here is what I ordered. R4i SDHC card for DSi xl/ DSi -works with V1.4.1 firmware I have been reading up on the stuff. I know I need to update the kernal and all. But will this card work on his DSi with 1.4.2? I have been getting the impression that it will. Since most people refere to the FW as 1.4.1/1.4.2 as if to say they are the same. So That is my question. I know know much about this stuff. So any help on how to get this thing up and going also would be apreciated. Thanks guys. this place is always very helpful.
It will probably work. Since it's an R4 though I can't say for sure. There are 30+ different R4 clones and copies of varying quality. Most can be upgraded, others can't.
