hi i would really appreciate any help I had 40 odd games on my daughters R4 card last night i put a couple more on and played it for an hour or 2 and all was fine. This morning my daughter was playing the Ds and when i got up said that something was wrong and the games weren't there. I had a look and couldn't see where on the DS they had gone so i put the micro sd card into the sd card reader and opened the file on the computer. Well to my surprise there was no games at all on there! Problem 1 was i had deleted the games from the computer last night but was able to find them this morning as apparently i didn't delete them properly so that was ok. I was able to extract about 10 games and put them on the ds but when trying to put more on there it comes up with the message there is not enough space on the disk which can't be right as i had 40 odd games on there before. I got my daughter to show me what she did and neither of those things should have affected it the way it has. I am so mad at her and frustrated as i can't figure out how to fix the prob any help would be greatly appreciated
how big is the micro sd? R4 does not use above 2GB and the clones i here do but have there own problems.
it's only a 2gb micro sd and there wasn't an issue with it until she managed to delete all the games on it
data is still on there somewhere then, if you can't recover anything on there re-download the firmware format sd card don't choose quick format and put games and firmware on it. i use an acekard 2i and a dstti these are much better than R4's and can hold up to 16gb www.ndscardshop.co.uk if you live in uk.
as mickoz said check your chip incase files are hidden go to my computer up the top click tools, folder options, view where it says files and folders click on show hidden files and folders (apply) exit out and put in your 2gb memory chip nd see if any thing comes up.
i've had a look for hidden files and couldn't find anything :-( The files for the programmes or whatever they are called are still there just not the games. So my only option is to format it and try to download the software is that right? Any suggestions on where to find the software?
that would probaby be the software still on the card copy it to desktop fo;der just incase before yu format chip ill root out the software 2morrow for you as i had to reformat my laptop 2 days ago and lost everything
bugger that would be a pain in the rear :-( Luckily i have not had to do that fingers crossed i never have to! Thanks for the help i really appreciate it
