Hi all, A friend has asked me to update his DS flashcard< I personally only have used M3 and M3i so, when he give me a couple of R4 card I didn't think it would be so difficult. 1st R4 kernal was last update April 08 2nd a lot of games don't play on this 3rd Cant find new loader. Does anyone know of any program to load newer games on a R4 flashcard Torry
hello R4 consoles need to update their kernels consistently to support new games. So they are not so easy to use as m3/ak2i.
I have this same problem. I have an R4 cart and I think they may have just stopped supporting it with updates :\ If anyone knows of any way to get this working better I'd much appreciate it also.

People Buy R4 cards because of the brand name anyone who is not really clued in or has heard someone say you can buy these cards and load you own games, someone else says cool what they called only name i hear people say is R4
I have noooooooooo idea what you just said here!!?? lol Anyways R4 is dead...has been for quite sometime. One of the best cards to get at the moment (which I have been using also for about 2 years is the Acekard2i. It plays all old games and new ones as well. Until now I have had no problems trying to play any .nds roms. I recommend you get this new card and throw away the R4 as you will just be pulling your hair and wasting alot of time.
The R4 gets support from Wood is also very good . Of course ,I agree AK2i is one of the best in the market
i think there also have many r4 card can work well on the game console,like r4i-sdhc,r4igold,and so on,what's more, it's quite cheaper.my r4igold works well.
