hi everyone, i got my son the DSL because he had the old model, which has the R4 card and works great, but when i swaped the R4 into the new ds, it says (couldnt find_DS_MENU.DAT) ive tried everything like reformate and restart. but nothing works the actual sd card works fine on my other R4 card. so its definetly not the sd card. the R4 card still work on the old DS but not the new one. can anyone help please.
Is there anything wrong with the new ds lite? According to your description, seems r4 card and sd card are both fine.
Actually this is simple there are 2 differrent versions of the ds_menu.dat file and you have to remember if the card hasn't been upgraded to the latest version for both ds and dsi xl your going to have issues now if you purchased him a 3ds xl you need a new cart all together
