US dsi xl, is it ok to use uk mains charger?

Hi, i'm thinking of getting my daughter a pink dsi xl from the US... i know it will have a different mains charger, but i was hoping i could just replace that with a uk charger?? is that possible or is it not that straight forward? also in her previous broken dsi i had a dstwo card with games on, will this work in the US dsi xl??

Just buy a UK dsi xl charger and it will be fine.

 

i would check voltage because the charger might have a differrent voltage for the u.k model and you dont want to fry the thing

 

Nope the DSI in the UK and the USA have the same battery and same electronics, the difference in adapter is only due to the difference in plug type and voltage / frequency of the incoming power supply.
A uk adapter for the DSi will work on any DSi from around the world.
